How to Defeat the Ostrich in Manok Na Pula (2026)

The Ostrich is beaten by striking into the short pause after each of its attacks. Tap the strike bar inside the blue band as the Ostrich finishes an attack, and bring a chicken that either survives its speed or widens your timing window.

Why Is the Ostrich Hard to Beat?

The Ostrich is fast, reaches further than a chicken, and follows up hard when it lands a hit. A player who trades blows with it loses, because it wins every even exchange.

Its weakness is rhythm. The Ostrich attacks on a repeating pattern and opens every fight the same way, so its timing can be learned.

When Should You Strike?

Strike in the pause after its attack. Each Ostrich attack ends in a short recovery, and a tap inside the blue band at that moment lands before it can act again.

Watch the strike bar, not the Ostrich. Its attack animation runs a beat longer than the attack itself, and players who wait for the animation to end tap late. A faster chicken makes the window wider, which is the real reason speed helps in this fight.

Which Chicken Is Best Against the Ostrich?

Three chickens beat the Ostrich, each in a different way.

Manok ni Taguro

The tank. High HP and defense absorb the Ostrich’s exchanges long enough for you to land the timed strike.

Manok na Hokage

The control pick. Its stun-and-slow effect breaks the Ostrich’s rhythm, which is the one thing the Ostrich depends on.

Super Sisiw 4

The widest timing window, for someone whose tap is not yet consistent.

Which Chicken Should You Farm the Ostrich With?

Farm it with what you can max at your level. Early on, Manok na Puti works as both tank and attacker, and Manok na Robot is the next step. Later, buy Manok na Kidlat, max it, and farm with that.

The Ostrich has levels of its own, and a chicken that clears the early ones stalls later. Move up a chicken when wins stop coming.

What Does Beating the Ostrich Pay?

Money and XP, on repeat. That is why the Ostrich is a farm and not a one-time wall: once the timing is learned, it pays every time you return. An offline win pays Pera and XP — +1,000 Pera and +500 XP on an early campaign win. The Eagle and the Alien Overlord are covered beside it in the Manok Na Pula bosses guide.

Is There a Shortcut?

The shortcut is the chicken, not the fight. In the Manok Na Pula Mod v8.3 build the balance starts at 1,342,177,279 Pera and 16,777,215 Dragon Eye, so Manok ni Taguro, Manok na Hokage or Super Sisiw 4 can be unlocked — each after an ad plays — and upgraded before the first Ostrich attempt. The fight itself plays normally: the build has no one-hit kill, so the timing rule above still decides it.

Which Pick Suits Which Player?

Choose by how sure you are of the timing. A player still learning it brings Manok ni Taguro, because its HP and defense leave room for a late tap. A player who lands the blue band reliably wins faster with Manok na Hokage’s control or Super Sisiw 4’s wider window.

The chicken to avoid is a low-HP, low-defense one that trades hit for hit. The Ostrich simply attacks more often than a slow chicken can reply.

Where Does the Ostrich Sit Among the Bosses?

The Ostrich is the first of three campaign bosses. The Eagle follows in the middle of the campaign and attacks from above, and the Alien Overlord waits at the end, in the Outer Space Arena. Each is a gate: past the Ostrich lies the next part of the campaign, with its XP.

Does the Mod Have a One-Hit Ostrich?

Yes. The one-hit Ostrich comes from the one-hit kill switch in the v8.3 mod menu; with the switch off, damage runs normally both ways. The build also changes the money behind the fight — enough Pera and Dragon Eye to field a maxed counter chicken from the start.

Is There a Risk in Using the Mod Against the Ostrich?

Little. The Ostrich is a campaign fight, campaign fights run on the phone alone — the menu shows “DISCONNECTED” and the fight still starts — and the Ostrich never appears in Tournament, which is where a modified game is checked hardest.
